Hurricane Sandy – Power Still Out

Hey everyone. It’s November 1st at 10:35am. We still have no power. We’re being told it MAY be turned on 7-10 days from the day it went out (Monday). So with that projection, the best I can hope for is in 4 days. Ugh!

I am able to use an inverter once in a while to plug in the phone or computer. Even when I plug my phone in I don’t get any service.

Yes it is annoying, but there are people who are far worse off than we are. There are senior citizens stuck in high rises that can’t walk down stairs and the elevators are out…they’re running out of food. There are people who lost everything.

Well, I’m off to try to find a supermarket that is open. I hope we can conserve gas because I’m hearing there’s a 2 hour wait at gas stations.
