Do you remember the General Mills cereals Count Chocula®, Boo Berry® and Franken Berry®? It brings back memories for me. I ate these cereals as a kid. It makes me smile that my kids can get a taste of what I enjoyed at their age.
This year, Target has exclusive packaging for you to make a fun monster castle! On the back of each box is 1 part of 3 that you cut out and assemble together!
Now comes the fun! It’s time to put together the castle!
Safety tip: When making the castle with little kids, have the adult cut the pieces out, or use safety scissors.
What you need to make the monster castle:
1 of each box of cereal: Count Chocula®, Boo Berry® and Franken Berry®
(Make sure they’re the exclusive boxes from Target that have the monster castle cutouts in the back of the boxes.)
How to make the monster castle:
Cut out all pieces from each box.
Fold the Count Chocula piece on both sides at the solid line.
Cut the slits that are on the bottom and the top (these lines are dashed).
Cut slits on the Franken Berry pieces and connect to slits on the backside of the Count Chocula piece. Tape at the top to ensure it stays.
Insert Boo Berry tower into slits at the top of the castle.
Assemble the accessories: Cut out each character and accessories. Cut slits in each and insert the stands to make them stand up.
Now, have fun and play!
We had lots of fun making the castle. We also made a sweet treat using all 3 cereals. There’s so many ideas we had to make a recipe with the cereal. Here’s the recipe to what we came up with below.
The amount of each ingredient you use depends on the size of the cup you use. Just try to eyeball it and make each layer even. Or, put more or less of your favorite ingredient.
5.1 oz box chocolate pudding mix (and milk as per box for pie directions)
Franken Berry cereal
Count Chocula cereal
Boo Berry cereal
21 oz Cherry pie filling
Clear cups, any size
First, make the chocolate pudding according to directions on box for “pie directions”.
Add pudding to the bottom of your cups.
Next, add Franken Berry cereal.
On top of that, put cherry pie filling.
Next, add Count Chocula cereal.
Finally, add whipped topping, and top with Boo Berry cereal.
Like I mentioned above, you can layer the ingredients in whatever way you wish. We used different size and shape cups for our Goblin Goblets.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: none
Serving Size: Varies, depends on size of cups you use
