I am receiving Nutristytem in exchange for blogging about my weight loss journey. All opinions are mine.
My Nutrisystem plan hit a snag these past two weeks when I got sick I really didn’t stick to the program. There were days where I grabbed pizza when I shouldn’t have, didn’t drink enough water, and times where I didn’t really eat enough. I am combining weeks 3 & 4 together into 1 post because I wasn’t able to post when I was sick.
I ended up playing catch up since one week I gained, and the next I lost.
- Week 1 (Starting Weight) 287.4
- Week 2 278.7 lbs (-8.7)
- Week 3 282.7 lbs (+4)
- Week 4 279.8 lbs (-2.9)
- Total weight lost so far: 7.6 lbs
Since this is what I’m dealing with, this week’s topic is how to get back on track when you have a bump in the road. I was very disappointed in myself. At one point I hit the “who cares/why bother” stage. It was like, why continue since I screwed up? Then I asked myself, “What advice would you give to someone else going through the same thing?” And my answer was not the way I was thinking and feeling toward myself. I would tell someone going through a similar slip-up not to give up. Pick yourself up and start all over again. Don’t beat yourself up. If you do nothing, that’s giving up and failing. You’re only human.
That made me realize how poorly we treat ourselves sometimes. Why couldn’t I give myself that pep talk until I thought of it in another light? I guess that’s a self-discovery that I need to work on. My advice to myself and anyone else struggling. DON’T GIVE UP!
I am back on track, taking it one day at a time, trying to make it a habit.
I will update with a pic shortly. Thanks for joining me through my ups and downs.
