Nutrisystem Week 2 #NSNation

I wasn’t looking forward to weighing myself this week. I thought I didn’t lose anything. I didn’t stick to the program 100%. For the most part I did, but, I did eat out a few times. So, I stepped on the scale and…drum roll please…

I lost another pound!

Starting weight: 289
Week 1 weigh-in: 288
Week 2 weigh-in: 287

Again, I am still trying to replace the “It’s only a pound.” thoughts with the “It’s a full pound!!” thoughts. I didn’t gain this weight in 2 weeks, so no, I am not going to lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks! This is a learning process and a habit changing process.

Exercise:

I haven’t been exercising, but today I did some “aqua-cise”. I think I am going to take some classes. It’s so much easier to exercise in water…especially when you have extra weight. It doesn’t even feel like you’re getting exercise! (That’s the lazy in me! lol)

Water:

I was not drinking nearly enough water. When I started I got my Nutrisystem bottle that I fill up 2 times a day to get the perfect amount of water my body needs. It has taken until now for my body to realize that it doesn’t have to hold on to every drop that goes into it. I think this will be a great for me not holding on to extra water weight.

Thanks to everyone who has faith in me. If you’re going through the same journey, comment below. We can do it together!

Nutrisystem Week 1 #NSNation

Unfortunately, I purchased a digital scale that I have to return. I wanted to be able to get the weight in .2 increments, but, the weight is different every time anyone steps on it. Even if you keep it in the same spot and it moves a centimeter, it could be almost a 10lb difference! UGGG!! My kids and I moved it from room to room trying to get it to stay at one weight for each of us, but we had no luck. Maybe the floors in my apartment are on a big angle, lol!

My starting weight: 289lbs. (Note to self: I just publicly stated that I weigh almost three hundred pounds…omg)

Due to the scale issue, I will update with my weigh-in (and starting pics) in a few days, but for now, here’s some info about the food I received.

I got to select food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert for 28 days.

Since I am a vegetarian I thought there wasn’t going to be a lot to choose from, but I was wrong. It was a decent variety. I’m sure the normal non-vegetarian selection is much more extensive. I ordered a variety of different things. Here’s a list of my favorites so far:

Breakfast: Blueberry Muffin

Lunch: Rice and Beans

Dinner: Pizza

Dessert: Anything chocolate lol

I’m Officially a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger! #NSNation

I am super excited to announce that I have been chosen to participate in the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger program!

I can’t wait to start this 4 month journey. I am nervous, excited, embarrassed, happy, sad, scared and a million other things all at once. I am happy to be doing this for 2 reasons. First, I need to lose weight. I can’t ignore the fact that I need to get my health in check. Second, I am able to reach others with my blog. I hope I can help people and I look forward to learning from others as well.

Being a vegetarian, you’d think I’d be very healthy. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. I do eat vegetables, but carbohydrates are my BFF! :) But, it’s time for me and carbs to break our one-sided relationship. I became a vegetarian when I was 12. I loved animals more than anything in the world and I wanted to become a veterinarian. I decided that I didn’t want to eat animals anymore. 21 years later, I didn’t become an animal doctor, but I still don’t eat meat.

When I was pregnant with my first son I gained 65lbs. I had surgery to remove a football-sized cyst from my right ovary while I was 4 and a half months pregnant with him. I think just having major surgery and being pregnant caused such a big gain. I wasn’t really allowed to do much. During the following years I lost and gained on and off. When I was pregnant with my 2nd son I gained 25lbs. (Funny thing, I gained different amounts of weight with each pregnancy, but was the same exact weight at the end of both pregnancies! lol)

My kids are now 11 and 6 and I think it’s time that I stop using them as an excuse! HAHAHA

Keep an eye out for more #NSNation posts to come!
